Located 15 minutes from the A75 motorway, at an altitude of 1100 metres on the Aubrac plateau, one of the least populated areas of France. Come and breathe in the air of France's Great Outdoors, and enjoy local specialities such as aligot


All essential shops, plus restaurants and cafés, can be found in Nasbinals and Aumont Aubrac, 10 minutes from the gites..


Local points of interest : Spas of Chaldette and Chaudes-Aigues, the Gévaudan wolf reserve, the European bison reserve, Château de la Beaume, hiking and mountain biking., fishing in the lakes and streams, gathering mushrooms, riding and pony trekking, cross-country skiing in winter, snow-shoeing. And exploring the famous Santiago de Compostella pilgrimage trail, which crosses the Aubrac.
Further away: 1 hour, the Millau Viaduct, the gorges of the Tarn, the Lot valley

In the past l'Aubrac was called Altobraco, Albracum, Albrac, and Auborac in Provençal.
This place was the fief of Gaulois Gabales which according to Cesar were the survivors of Alesia.
